	Can we make changes to the EMT PO after it has been sent to the supplier? Our customers sometimes request changes to the original sales orders.
Yes, but there are some limitations. Changes can be made to an intercompany PO, which is a regular PO in QAD, until a corresponding sales order on the supplier’s side is shipped and closed. This can be done either through the Data Loader or through the standard QAD PO Maintenance function. However, changes to an EMT PO are limited. Because there is a “hard link” in QAD between the EMT purchase order and the EMT sales order, the purchase order cannot be modified directly using the QAD PO Maintenance function. You must make changes to the EMT SO in order to change the EMT PO. This could potentially require you to adjust your process. For example, if you currently use different dates in what would be EMT orders in QAD or updating dates in the PO that do not have corresponding fields in EMT SO. To some extent, this can be resolved via the Data Loader, but we usually recommend that you look for alternative solutions first and stay with the available standard QAD functionality before going into customizations.
	Can we implement the processes you have shown without the Data Loader?
Yes. However, without some kind of Dashboard, it may be very difficult to manage. Also, if you do not have EDI implemented, or have EDI but do not have maps for the documents required for EMT process (for both PBU and SBU), you will need an alternative way to transfer order details and statuses.
