Do you have a tool to maintain blanket supplier orders?
Yes, we do and we have another webinar that explains Supplier Schedules in detail. You can watch a webinar about it here and find out more here.
Will this tool work with QAD 2015 EE? Will it work with QAD 2013?
Yes. It will work with both of those versions.
We currently have ProPlus installed however the Supplier Shipping Schedule module is not turned on. Will the tool still work with the canned 5.5.3.3 schedules then? We only use planning for supplier schedules while sending F and P within that. How does that change the tool I watched on DEMO?
The 32 Soft Supplier Schedule Data Loader checks if PRO/PLUS Supplier Schedules is activated (Enable Shipping Schedule is set to “yes” in the 5.5.7.24 Supplier Schedule Control menu). If it is active, then the Data Loader works with supplier shipping schedules (schedule type 6) and creates/updated schedules through 5.5.7.7 Supplier Shipping Schedule Maintenance. If PRO/PLUS Supplier Schedules is not activated, then the Loader works with “regular” supplier schedules (schedule type 4) and creates and updates schedules through 5.5.3.3 Schedule Maintenance. It automatically determines whether or not PRO/PLUS Supplier Schedules is active.
The Loader can download either all active and historical schedule releases or only the active schedule releases for a selected ship-to and supplier. Depending on PRO/PLUS Supplier Schedule settings, it will download either type 4 or type 6 schedules. It will also show non-zero MRP demand and non-zero schedule receipts.
A user can make changes to the scheduled quantities manually in the Loader’s Excel spreadsheet or copy/paste information from the external file. For each scheduled quantity, the date and schedule type (P or F) should be specified. If a schedule does not have a type specified, the user will receive an error.
The generic version of the Data Loader allows only one type per date—all quantities scheduled on a certain date can be either “Firm” or “Planned.” However, if you need to firm quantities individually (need to have both P and F quantities on the same date), we can modify the Loader to allow this. This will be a customization.
When a modified schedule is uploaded into QAD, it can update a selected existing active release ID or generate a new one. This option is configurable. In the trial version, an existing release ID is always updated unless multiple active release IDs for a selected ship-to/supplier combination exists. This option allows you to keep and maintain one release per supplier for an extended period of time, if necessary, instead of generating a new release ID with each update.
