The Dream It. Do It. network aims to inspire youth to pursue careers in manufacturing and also works to educate career influencers, such as teachers and parents, about manufacturing as a high-quality career choice. The network was launched by the Manufacturing Institue in 2005 and since then has engaged thousands of manufacturers, students, parents, and educators.
Dream It. Do It. provides national support and a wealth of resources to help their members’ pro-manufacturing efforts. Members have access to a network of industry leaders who are active and instrumental in developing activities designed to meet local, regional and statewide workforce needs.
Their website includes an Educator’s Guide with lesson plans, activities and fact sheets about the many opportunities in manufacturing from engineering to design to business. You’ll also find information about their Manufacturing Ambassador Program which offers support and materials that manufacturers can employ to increase the talent pool of young workers. There’s much more, so check it out! To learn more about the Dream It. Do It. program, click here.
