In this webinar, we’ll demonstrate how Customer Work Center’s simple interface will boost your sales and productivity. You’ll see right away how this powerful online and mobile tool will significantly increase customer satisfaction because both your customers and reps will have real-time information available 24/7!
Based on user security roles, we can limit what the user will see including the information displayed in pop ups. For certain roles, we can hide the pricing or commission fields. During the implementation process, we will spend time with you to determine what information is displayed for each of the roles in your company.
What about pricing logic?
Pricing logic is different for each CWC installation. We spend the most time during implementation on custom logic for each business. We look at what gets displayed for inventory availability; what is displayed for pricing for each of the roles; how price breaks are displayed, etc. We can display price breaks for items in the Product Availability screen. This particular feature was not demonstrated in the webinar.
How do you distinguish orders coming in through CWC?
In the “Entered By” field in 7.1.1 (Sales Order Maintenance), we can display “CWC” so you know that the order came in through the online application. You would also see the requester name in the header comments. This is populated with the email address of the person who submitted the order through CWC.
How do you “present” the web form to the OUTSIDE internet? Is it via a static web address to a customer’s web server or is the CWC hosted?
You can have it as an external site. The application can be available through the customer’s VPN or as an external site where you would need a SSL certificate. CWC is always installed in the our CWC customer’s network, hosted by them on a server. This server or another will be exposed to the outside world through SSL/https connections to make it secure. So, your customers would connect to that external IP address through an SSL connection. We can set up a separate, more detailed technical call if required.
In what formats can orders be taken? Excel or another that can be downloaded or is it onscreen only?
For the existing application, orders are entered manually online. We try to simplify the order process by limiting the input fields to only those required. Most orders have default fields and we work with the business to determine which fields get populated with defaults and which require input from user. This application does not support order file import.
Is access granted by the address accessing the site?
Not everyone can access CWC. You have to register through our online registration and approval process which is managed by your internal admin person. During registration, a security record is created with the user’s email address, company name, etc. which is validated by your internal admin. Then the role is assigned to the user which determines what information they can see. For example, as a rep, you would enter in your rep code and then any customer account in Customer Master with that rep code would be displayed for you to see in CWC. For customers (customer role), those accounts are entered individually. Once that security record has been approved and changed to active, then when the user accesses CWC, they will only see the accounts assigned to them in their security record.
In other words, is it linked so that the password is not shared between customers?
When you register and get approved, an email is sent and it assigns a random password and the user would have to go in the first time and change their password. The password requirement can be set up by the business so it must be between 8-15 characters, include a character, etc. The restriction is determined by the business and the passwords are individual to the user. Hopefully the user is not sharing it. The password is assigned to that individual login.
