	Is it better to use product structure for bulk and discrete BOMs rather than formulas for bulk and product structure for discrete?
The choice between 13. 5 – Product Structure Maintenance or 15.5 – Formula Maintenance is dependent on the type of product you are producing. Product Structures, the classic Parent-Component relationship, is the basis of all MRP explosion scheduling and planning systems. The demand for the parent is “netted” against available in order to calculate a time-phased anticipation of build quantity out across a horizon. This anticipation of the parent is driven directly down to the component and repeated through the entire structure of the product. Formula functionality adds the ability to lot size an anticipated build based on a batch size similar to a receipt. The new Bulk Pick List functionality that we discuss in the webinar applies to creating a List of materials to be “transferred” to the WIP shop floor locations for one or more production orders.
	You mentioned something about a new tool for accounting to review variances. Is that something that works before the accounting close? Now we only see some variances after the close.
The question as to whether accounting variances can be viewed before accounting close is a question of business practices. (i.e. who actually checks the close box or sets the Work Order or Production Order status.)
